I like writing in google docs better than in my blog. At least right now. It was convenient to brainstorm this ideas using my google project starter template. I suddenly thought of an out of the box idea for human powered lighter than air sports flyer shaped like a bird.

Since I’m applying to sungevity for the User Experience Manager Position, I’m curious if we could put solar panels on top of our personal sized blimps that are shaped like wings and we strap on to us? Maybe it would add too much mass for moving even if the helium or hydrogen floatation gas compensates for the weight. I like the idea for long duration flight of using solar power to augment and assist the flapping motion of the wings so a person doesn’t tire on long flights. I think the power from the solar cells would outway the momentum drag and anyway with springy energy pneumatic muscle amplification we could use the solar energy to decrease the effort of moving the wings.
Can we use compressed hydrogen for the lifting gas and also use it with compressed oxygen we use as a ballast? then can we use a slow hydrogen and oxygen reaction to generate electricity or generate motion directly? It would be awesome if we attached a jet pack to it and converted the power from a high thrust rocket and into a energy efficient motion force or electrical force. Maybe micro combustion of hydrogen and helium into water to make a piston type up and down motion for the wing flapping amplification?
No, I’m not concerned about them exploding on accident. That kind of thing only happened with pre-computer engineering. We can simulate these things to make sure they leak safely and don’t explode in any way that’ might hurt the human. Cars are also explosive devices and they used to blow up around the time of the hindindberg, but we don’t see cars blowing now that we have better engineers.
We can make these wings out of fishnet and string and partycity helium balloons. So the basic proof of concept lifting weight prototype should cost about $5000.00? for like 500 balloons, 500 Square foot of fishnet, 5000 yards of 100 lb test contractors line rope or twine to tie everything into shape after cutting and sewing together the fishnet to hold the balloons. After we inflate it, we can cover it with cellophane for better wind flow benefits at hobby prices. Not sure what to make webbing and tendons for the personal bird dirigible. I guess whatever that other inventor used. Or better yet, why don’t I just tell that inventor about the plan and ask him to work with me on it? I guess that’s just a little ambitious and I’m low on resources. So great idea though. . .
